Lizzie Barnes is a contemporary hand-embroidery artist and textile designer based in Bristol. Drawing on her degree in surface pattern design, experience in professional print studios, and a background as a secondary school art teacher, she brings a wealth of structured
expertise to her workshops. Lizzie loves playing with colour, texture, and detail that bring a pop to modern floral designs.
As the founder of Lizzie’s Embroidery Club, her teaching approach is entirely relaxed, supportive, and focused on the mindful joy of making. She strips away the pressure of perfectionism, helping students slow down and discover how a few simple stitches can build into striking pieces of structural textile art. Whether you are picking up a needle for the very first time or looking to elevate your work into the third dimension, Lizzie’s workshops offer an encouraging space to explore your creative flow.
